We refer the unique SCANDINOFF NORDIC PROTECTOR VARIO knife with the protected multi-purpose construction SCANDINOFF-VARIO as the "GROWING KNIFE". It is a knife that belongs into the category of EDC - a knife for everyday use, and outdoor - a knife for use in nature, camping, leisure activities, etc.

This robust and durable knife has a unique shape in the SCANDINOFF design language. However, it differs from other fixed knives in one fundamental way. Its construction, supplied handles and sheaths, and their mutual variability, enable the absolutely unique combinability of this knife for different ways of carrying and use. And all this in one package, for one price!

What makes the knife so unique:

Handle types – bare blade, small „inserted“ G10 scales  (unique protected system SCANDINOFF)

The shape of the blade, based on the original shapes of Seax Viking knives.

The ergonomics of the handle with a bevel towards the blade, which fits beautifully in the hand and at the same time forms a second barrier against the hand slipping, together with the protective protrusion (heel). The gently curved shape of the handle (a characteristic design element of all SCANDINOFF knives), which creates unique ergonomics and a firm grip.

The grind - SCANDINOFF FLAT & GROOVE grind – a special flat grind with an upper groove sunk to the front of the blade.

A 15° bevel on the upper edge of the blade, which creates a unique design effect at both ends of the bevel.

The blade shape is based on the original shapes of Nordic Viking knives of the SEAX type, and is made of Scandinavian steel Sandvik 14C28N, which is currently one of the most demanded and used knife steels worldwide.

The grinding of the knife is Flat & Groove - a special SCANDINOFF flat grind with an upper groove sunk to the front of the blade.

The upper edge of the knife is ground  to 15° bevel on the upper edge of the blade, which creates a unique design effect at both ends of the bevel.

The entire blade has a Stonewash finish, steel is vacuum hardened to 60±1 HRC Rockwell scale.

The sharpness of the knife is excellent, as you can see in the videos on social networks.

The scales are made of high-quality G10 with a "Damascus - Nordic Night" design.

The used construction of the knife has been tested for years – very durable and indestructible - Full Tang.

Assembly and disassembly of the individual scales is quite simple - only 1 threaded insert and 2 screws. Nothing more. Only with the help of a small assembly key (supplied as an optional accessory) you can create the knife you need in a few minutes - a neck knife, or a belt knife with a kydex sheath. A bare knife without handles, or a knife with small handles. Knife for concealed carry, knife for regular carry. Whatever you wish.

The SCANDINOFF brand was founded in 2020 in the Czech Republic.

In the beginning, the brand concentrated on handmade knives of the Viking Seax type. The high interest and popularity of these knives caused the establishment of a special 3D design studio SCANDINOFF, which began to create its own visualizations, 3D models and production drawings of other types of knives, similar in shape to the Viking Seax, but adapted to modern requirements for the use and maintenance of the knife. Over time, other types of knives were created, which emphasized not only the preservation of the design, but also the durability and useful value of the knives. All this allowed the brand to move over time to its own ideas and designs, which is evidenced by, for example, our folding knife, or the Vario knife, an excellent own multi-purpose design created by the SCANDINOFF design studio. For the blades, SCANDINOFF uses exclusively Scandinavian steels, mainly Sandvik and Sleipner, the plan is carbon steel 80 CrV2.

The NORDIC PROTECTOR VARIO knife is delivered in a beautiful collector's two-tiered box with silver print and specially shaped knife storage. Every sheath and every scale element are safely stored in the two  floors of the box, in its own special cut-out.
